Libby has had a lifetime love of science that led to a degree in Microbiology at the University of Michigan followed by a teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University. She has taught a variety of science courses in grades 8-12 - from remedial to advanced and now helps students one-on-one. When classroom experiences leave students feeling their knowledge is incomplete or their target learning is unclear, Libby can help. She focuses on each student’s learning style and abilities to assist them in meeting their goals in their classes. With this personalized approach, each student is met at their level and makes the growth they are working for. Libby is in her 10th year tutoring for the ACT science section. The same individualized instruction allows students to improve from wherever they are starting - creating success for those starting out lower than they want to be and honing high level skills for students starting out with high scores and wanting to rise for top level schools. By connecting with her students, Libby creates a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking all their questions and sharing their struggles. From this honest place, her students can find what they need to succeed.
Libby loves spending time with her husband and two young children. Whether playing games, walking the dog, or enjoying the outdoors she and her crew have lots of laughs and fun.
